Course Breakdown

Over the course of 12 weeks, you’ll progressively build the strength, power, and endurance needed to smash your 1km goals, with structured phases to ensure peak performance when it matters most

Week 1-4: Building the Foundation

We start with technique-focused workouts to refine your rowing form while building aerobic endurance. The first month will also focus on strength development, preparing you for the more intense training to come.

Week 5-8: Power and Endurance

As you progress, we’ll introduce higher-intensity intervals, designed to push your limits and improve your 1km time. These weeks will focus on developing anaerobic power and lactate tolerance, two key elements of a successful 1km race

Week 9-12: Race Simulation and Testing

The final phase of the plan will simulate race conditions and maximise your efforts to test and refine your 1km performance. You’ll also revisit strength training and focus on explosive power to finish strong.
